My concern is the current suicide bombings. Any is too much. I hope they can stop the war between Pakistan and Afghanistan about Khan. Good luck to all. I like your blog. What do you think they can do? It upsets me. I have friends on both sides.

Mr Zardi should ignore the critic and simply do the things which he considers to be right. Both people of Pakistan and history would judge him on actions he is taking as a President and not what he did in the Past!

So the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) beneficiaries list comes out. The media is happy that those persons who enjoyed taking advantage of the NRO have light casted upon them, while the government is trying to push forward the argument of how they have respected the Supreme Court’s judgment and have publicized the list. It seems to be a win-win situation for all parties. But is it really? Calls for the resignation of ministries and portfolios have echoed from all corners. How has this zero-sum game turned into a finger-pointing-name-calling battle?

Before people start thinking globally that Pakistan is the epicenter of terrorism, we should cause awareness that we as a nation do not stand terrorism and are doing everything possible to eradicate is. The media can help with this by causing more awareness in an optimistic manner of our achievements regarding it. The Pakistani media can help us unite as a single voice to fight terrorism. The political issue like the list of NRO beneficiaries is not a very optimistic way of getting everyone together in the country. We should tell the world that Pakistan as a nation is not standing terrorism and doing everything in its power to eradicate it.

What a nonsense are you talking about Mr. Waheed? Media has never dragged anyone into any affair? You describe Asif Zardari as if he was innocent like a newborn. Do you not think it is the responsibility of the media to expose those who are involved in corruption and other crimes?

And do not blame Imran Khan, JUI-F or PML-N for anything that they have done. They have never talked to extremists. No one wants to talk to them. All of these political parties may have their own flaws but right now it is Zardari who leads the country and thus is answerable to the nation.

Zardari seems to be a very big headline now days especially ever since the NRO list of beneficiaries has come out. What Zardari should do is help Pakistan fight terrorism. It is the media’s right to use the freedom of speech, the media can help in fighting against terrorism.
