I have to say, given his ostensible aspirations for the position of secretary of state and his connection to the region, Zakaria really is frequently and considerably less informed about South Asia than he should be.
Yes, you’re right. It’s puzzling that he doesn’t seem to have a great grasp of details on South Asia, but seems to have been raised at least in part in India, and by leading Indian intellectuals/politicians.
