The PM didn't base his arguments upon the democratic legitimacy of his government, but rather on the "extremism" of the Taliban. There seems to be an "out" for the Taliban, if they want to take it. Too bad the PM couldn't bring himself to advocate eliminating Talibanism entirely. A bit disappointing.
