		<description>Thanks, Asad.  The local Pakistani political agent says he&#039;s dead.  At the very least he&#039;s very sick.  I think the TTP statements about Mehsud being in great health is disinfo.   Let&#039;s hope he dies soon.</description>

Mehsud&#039;s death has not been fully confirmed.  But there are several reports, albeit unconfirmed, coming from Pakistani journalists in the tribal areas.  Some of the more reputable ones are a bit hesitant to make a final confirmation.  But I have not seen a refutation.  Let&#039;s see how this one plays out.

I can&#039;t comment on the accuracy of Long War Journal&#039;s reports.  It cites third party or anonymous sources.

I pay greater attention to FATA and Peshawar-based Pakistani journalists, who work in Urdu and English.</description>
