Mehsud's death has not been fully confirmed. But there are several reports, albeit unconfirmed, coming from Pakistani journalists in the tribal areas. Some of the more reputable ones are a bit hesitant to make a final confirmation. But I have not seen a refutation. Let's see how this one plays out. I can't comment on the accuracy of Long War Journal's reports. It cites third party or anonymous sources. I pay greater attention to FATA and Peshawar-based Pakistani journalists, who work in Urdu and English. Sure — one could argue the same with any reported terrorist leader death.
