Not very long ago the same apolitical general was part of every clandestine political meeting connived between the president/COAS, the PML-Q , DG ISI (himself) and musharrafs coterie of corrupt advisors ( shareef uddin pirzada, malik qayum and the likes)of how not to let the people of pakistan get their due rights.
however if now that the COAS has realised all his past mistakes then it is a welcome step. but if the chequered history of the army is anything to go by then all this rhetoric is nothing but a retreat for sometime before the people start getting stronger. civilised people would take decades to trust the Army.</description>
