This ad raises other important point: Does any Pakistani politician, PML or PPP, stand for anything? Aren't all of them part of the same small elite that has ruled Pakistan for most of its existence? Doesn't "democracy" in Pakistan mean feudal rule? Is it not the case that the names/party labels change but nothing changes in reality, as far as the average people in Pakistan are concerned? Please ponder these points.

Although I carry no water for the PML-Q, I have to say that they have raised a fair point in this ad. This time around Nawaz Sharif is running against every thing he has stood for from the independence of the judiciary to the freedom of the media and the role of the army in Pakistan's politics. I think it is kosher for any political party to point out the opportunism and hypocrisy of their opponents. Of course, this is quite rich coming from the PML-Q, considering that they were loyal members of the PML-N until Musharraf came along.
