while i agree with most of what you say, how exactly will the US (or anyone else for that matter) convince mush to step aside? i thought very similarly to what you’ve just written until i realized the fairly obvious fact that someone who is this desperate to hold on to power will not politely leave both his posts, even with the threat of an aid cutoff.
